This little “The Double Standard” comic book excerpt from Betty and Veronica #326, October 1983 shows some of the double standards in people’s attitudes toward women. It’s quite sad that these sexist comments are still said in some situations today. Ever notice how people use different labels when boys and girls do the same thing:

It was 1983. They were straight up calling out the double standards. No commentary or warning. It was “This is how things are and it’s BS.”
And sadly things really haven’t gotten better over the past 40 years in these regards.
