“Game Boy Garden” Nintendo DS Terrariums

Winnie Sumida of Waku Waku Island is the creator of the Original Game Boy Garden! They are so pretty and cute and are each one of a kind and handmade. 🙅‍♀️And no real Nintendo Game Boys were harmed in the making of these.🙅‍♀️ She makes all her pieces with Game Boy/DS replacement shells. Here’s a bit more from the artist:

“My name is Winnie, the creator of Waku Waku Island! I’m an independent artist located near Seattle, WA. I have a strong passion for crafting, decorating and everything cute as well as a deep nostalgic love for the art in video games, especially Nintendo.

I was making cute home decor as a hobby when I started Waku Waku Island back in 2016. People really enjoyed what I was creating so I started selling on Etsy. When I had this idea of making a Gameboy terrarium I knew I had to make it work somehow.  After a lot of practice, and some trial and error, it evolved into what you see today. Thanks to all the support, I’m now able to do this as my full time job! I’m so grateful to be able to do this, all I could ever really hope for is that my art makes people smile, and I’d like to continue doing that :)”
