Some additional notes on the role of the 25-year-old Strong Male Character that dies two thirds of the way through the film to strengthen Helen Mirren’s resolve.
It’s absolutely vital that he’s got to be visibly completely nude in that shower scene with Helen. Maybe not full frontal, but unabashedly full sideal and full backal. No body doubles or cgi nonsense.
And this is not a throw-away role that can be wasted on a pretty boy who can’t act. You’ve got to cast someone with serious acting chops. If you can’t cast a hot 20s already-rising young star like Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland or Timothée Chalamet, then cast one that will BECOME the next hot rising young star. The good casting agents know what I’m talking about.
