Legolas Only Says One Line to Frodo in the Entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy

LOL! This is legit though. Legolas literally only says one line, “And you have my bow.” to Frodo during the entire The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. Even including the extended version. If you don’t believe me watch it yourself! This meme is spot on:

  1. I think there is a terrible logic behind that. Legolas remembers the wars of the ring from the elves’ side. The tragic, horrible losses they suffered supporting a hero who promised to destroy the ring, only to fall under it’s sway and doom them to a repetition. The horror of seeing the ring come out of hiding and begin it all again. He hopes Frodo can do what he says, he believes it’s the best course of action to avoid the coming horror, but he’s not going to do what Elrond did and watch the ring bearer fail–he’s there to monitor and ensure the ring makes it into the fire. He’s got to watch for enemies and defend Frodo, but he’s also got to watch Frodo and make sure he doesn’t falter. He might have to take drastic action to see it through, and you don’t befriend someone you might have to kill, it will hinder your perception of the evil that’s trying to consume you all.
