Today I learned that there’s a label for people who actually want to get to know their sexual partners as people. Where I come from we called that “saving yourself for marriage”.
No offense intended to the people, only the labels.
no thats not quite it. They literally CANNOT feel sexually attracted or aroused unless they first establish a deeper relationship with someone.
Ok, that’s interesting. And also still seems like a superpower. Because it seems like it would take a lot of the emotional guesswork out of the picture — assuming one does still want to establish deep relationships for other purposes.
I’m not, as you have probably guessed, a demisexual, but I’m definitely the sort who wouldn’t ACT on feelings of attraction without establishing the necessary depth.
