The Best Line in Marvel’s WandaVision

*SPOILERS obviously* This line in WandaVision: Episode 8 “Previously On” is hitting people hard. It is probably the best line in the show, at least the most poignant. It is said by Vision, played by Paul Bettany, to a mourning Wanda in a flashback to shortly after her brother Pietro’s death:

“But what is grief, if not love persevering?”

The line is really resonating with people as we have all dealt with grief, at least on some level, in our lives. Artist @dazzlingjedi even did this screencap redraw of the scene:

And actor Ralph Garman tweeted about it:

And people are realizing how much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe deals with the themes of grief, love and loss:

This quote will go down in history as one of the MCU’s finest, most heart wrenching quotes. The interesting thing too is that it’s one of the most human, yet it was said by Vision, who was made by Ultron from vibranium and given life by the Mind Stone.

Wanda’s pain is deeply explored in the episode and much more of her backstory is revealed. And they FINALLY refer to her as the Scarlet Witch! Basically if you’re a Marvel fan and you’re not watching WandaVision yet, it’s time to start.
