This is a thought-provoking post about the concept of eBooks. Unfortunately you don’t actually own eBooks, eMovies, etc. What you’re purchasing is a license to have that book or movie file on your device. Not the actual object. This is a problem:

This is why I sideload. I find DRM-free e-books and use Calibre if I need to convert format, save to external hard-drives, and then add it to my Nook. B&N can’t take it away from me.
