This first building in this building fails post is 20 Fenchurch Street in London. And not only is it hideous, it is also a death ray that melted a car. The building even won the Carbuncle Cup in 2015 for worst new building in the UK. The chairman of the jury said “it is a challenge finding anyone who has something positive to say about this building”. And a town planner described the building as “a daily reminder never to let such a planning disaster ever happen again”.

Turns out the architect Rafael Viñoly has created many a monstrosity in his day. I think maybe he’s trying to melt people, lol. This is not his only epic building fail as these commenters point out:
