The Wave Experiment

The Wave Experiment is a captivating exploration into the dynamics of group psychology and conformity. It was started by social psychologist and teacher Ron Jones in 1967. Initially meant as a means to demonstrate the ease with which individuals can be swept into groupthink and authoritarianism, The Wave experiment evolved into a poignant lesson about the dangers of unchecked obedience and the allure of power. Through a series of carefully planned events within a high school classroom, Jones illuminated the rapid transformation of ordinary students into fervent followers of an authoritarian movement. The experiment shed light on the complexities of human behavior and the potent influence of social dynamics.

  1. There’s nothing new under the sun – I’m an Agnostic but I know the Bible – America is slowly entering a Fascist mindset – very slowly and subtly good people are starting to look to the Far Right – the seem to offer such simple solutions- So did Hitler 💙🇺🇸🇺🇦🇮🇱

  2. But to clarify, this is not to say that everyone would join the Wave or do the terrible things in the Wave. It’s to say that enough people did that the others were quiet and kept their heads down out of fear and special pressure.
I am curious about those who dissented. In the real world, they are either killed or they leave quickly and quietly
