Hear, hear. As the father of an AFAB kiddo, can I say that the opposite trope, the dad who hates any boy his daughter touches, is SO creepy? Why is he sexually jealous of his own child, FFS? My own former FIL was one of the most important mentors in my life, even after the divorce, thank goodness. So, yes, this is very possible.
