Have you ever noticed that long car rides can be exhausting? Even though you’ve just been sitting around doing nothing all day you can get really tired from car rides. Turns out there is an actual reason for this and here it is:

Also explains why my desk job feels more exhausting than when I worked super late or early in retail. Middle of the day shifts were the worst since I’m an introvert and social bs is draining and makes everything take 3 times longer.
I physically do way less, but mentally do a lot more. Plus, that physical job was in the cold, whereas the desk job is often hot and stuffy and I’m a radiator.
