Adam Podowitz-Thomas tweeted this personal story about why it’s important to show kids diverse families. Representation matters. This also goes hand in hand with the Why We Can’t Stop Saying Gay post. These posts are of course being made in response to Florida’s bizarre “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill that forbids teaching gender identity or sexual orientation to kids in schools. This policy has obviously drawn intense national scrutiny for marginalizing LGBTQ+ people. We can’t just pretend LGBTQ+ people don’t exist, because they do and they deserve to feel safe and represented. Be an ally. Here is the story about his daughter:
