LOL! This is the reason why Darth Vader couldn’t find Obi-Wan. It is pretty silly that Anakin can’t find his ex-best friend on his own home planet while the guy is still using his own damn name. But here’s why:

If Palpatine told Vader that Kenobi was on Tatooine, Vader’s response should have been “Oh, cool Can I het the kirs for the Death Star tonight?
Well, let’s see.
What deep connection did Kenobi have with Tatooine? Oh yeah, he spent a couple of days inside a spaceship that was waiting for parts on it about twenty years ago.
People act like the Empire is about twenty square miles, and Anakin missed a billboard saying “Kenobi’s fresh hermitage, route seven”, instead of the reality that there are literally hundreds, if not thousands of planets that Kenobi could be on. And as far as Anakin knows, his children died with his wife, and he has no living relatives
True, but Tatooine also has massive baggage outside of the fact it’s a desert planet. Remember he was a slave there. It’s where his mother was tortured to death. It was arguably the start of his slide towards the Dark Side.
And Tatooine is technically Hutt territory, so the Empire has to tread a bit lightly or upset the mob slugs.
