The sad truth is that women’s mere existence is too much for some men (#notallmen of course, you don’t need to say it, haha). We’ve all heard those guys bitching about how “yet another female-led franchise” is coming out, as if we haven’t had male-led franchises for almost everything in the past. Or complaining about “Mary Sues”, as if we haven’t been subjected to Gary Stus for forever. Women’s existence (or any minority’s existence for that matter) is considered “political” or “an agenda” by these guys. Anyway, the reasons is that these guys perceive a small number of women as being more than it actually is. They also perceive that women talk more than men, even when they actually don’t.
