This is an awesome idea for worldbuilding explanations in case people ask specific questions about why your world is a certain way. Basically just give them two layers of explanation and it will make perfect sense. Also this post ended up inspiring some pretty great fan art:

Some of my favorite artists and writers do remarkable things about making fictional worlds seem so vibrant by incorporating minutia like waiting on the iceman to come, how magic works using little bits of science/physics so it feels real instead of “I don’t need to explain nuthin”, histories and even a few that went so far as to make languages or incorporating beowulf level old english in a historical piece.
