Bernadette Bentley and Cathy Kutz look absolutely incredible cosplaying as Xena Warrior Princess and Gabrielle! The resemblance in both of them is amazing and the costumes are so on point they are basically screen quality. In short, they both did super impressive work on this cosplay!
Here’s what they both had to say via Geek Girls:
“Xena was my first cosplay and will always be my favorite. I have been a fan since watching it as a kid! When I was asked to Cosplay Xena Warrior Princess as a live model for Todd’s Costumes at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo in 2012, I had no idea how much it would change my life. Not only do I feel empowered and sexy when I put on the Xena suit, I get so much joy out of seeing how happy others are to see this character. Cosplaying Xena has brought so many wonderful opportunities such as having my own Xena Cosplay Trading Card by CosCards, being a Cosplay Guest at Atlantic City BoardWalk Con in 2015, and most of all getting asked to do an impromptu photo shoot with Lucy Lawless at New York Comic Con in 2014! And yes, I can do the Xena War Cry!” -Bernadette Bentley
“When I first started to watch Xena, the character of Gabrielle instantly resonated with me. The girl who knew she was meant for something much more vast than her simple village life could offer her. The girl who was on an intense journey of growth. It all spoke directly to me. The first time it was suggested to me that I should cosplay Gabrielle was at a Xena convention. I had no clue what cosplay was really all about, but the actress in me couldn’t resist the idea of stepping into a new character. Since I started my cosplay journey 5 years ago I’ve brought life back into versions of Gabrielle from a number of episodes, but my favorite version that I’ve done so far has been blending Gabrielle with something else close to my heart- faeries.” -Cathy Kutz
Bernadette and Cathy’s Xena and Gabrielle cosplay is just perfect and if there ever is a Xena reboot – they volunteer as tribute!
